Warehousing & Logistics Manager EMEA

We are seeking a European Warehousing and Logistics Manager responsible for our Warehousing & Logistics operations, defining our strategy, optimizing our structure & operations and implementing the improvement plan together with the local teams.

 The focus will be on driving operational excellence across the Supply Chain, implementing and maintaining procedures in collaboration with the internal customer & partners, as well as external vendors, to ensure perfect seamless execution of all our deliveries to our customers and guarantee on time deliveries of inbound and outbound flows.

Main responsibilities & key accountabilities

  • Supervise the warehousing operations and continuously improve the organization, system and processes in order to reach highest levels of operational excellence (cost, speed & quality) & highest service levels towards our client.

  • Building and maintaining a strong team and high engagement through training, coaching, empowerment and development. (+- 10 FTE).

  • Take a leading role in the selection and implementation of new software (WMS, TMS) to optimize warehouse & delivery operations.

  • Define the transport strategy making sure our customers get the top service we want to give them.

  • Responsible for managing all inbound and outbound logistics, financial/operations performance of the delivery activities including analytics and actions for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to interact positively and fairly, building relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.

  • Work closely with colleagues from customer service and warehouse to ensure logistics processes are running as smoothly and efficiently.

  • Initiate and lead service improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Define continuous improvement process for warehousing & logistics improving cost, efficiency and on-time delivery.

  • Maintain accuracy of stock and implement proactive improvements (Stock Planning).


Key role competencies

  • Proven logistics experience with a background in managing teams

  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of varying skill set, located in multiple sites

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operations/logistics role.

  • Demonstrate effective project management (new software implementation) and priority setting skills.

  • You have good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills with strong capabilities of managing a busy workload.

  • High IT proficiency

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • A decision maker who can think laterally and offer solutions to solving potential problems.

  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch, English is a strong asset and highly appreciated

  • Customer oriented.
